Three fashion trends of SS 15 - Which should catch and match Indian taste and sensibilities
1. Cropped blouse with culottes or A-line skirts
Crop top is turning into a favourite trend and a restored style from last season . We Indians have been flaunting crop top from centuries in form of Saree blouses :-) hence its not new for our eyes and wardrobes . Pairing it with pleated or voluminous pair of culottes will add a modest touch .
Jacket /sheer panels / Wide belts helps in creating a peek-a -boo effect . The styling and detailing of a crop top will greatly depend on your body structure and your proportions.
Style Café's tip - Keep it simple by picking neutral shades or non-striking prints as the style itself is quite bold . Its a big no for offices or work places .
2. Power shoulder
Its a trend which embraces lots of femininity and romanticism into it . A little skin show is inevitable . You can pick a style which helps you accentuate your best features . The style will favour ladies who have toned or athletic upper bodies as it creates a focus on the shoulders and arms . You can even replicate the style in Indian tunics and saree blouses .
Style Café's tip - Wear non-clingy fabrics( upper half) if you have a heavy hip line . In case of inverted triangles , keep it very simple and try to wear the style in darker colours . Again a big no for office wear ( If worn without a jacket)
3. Coloured suits -
Indian love for colours is well known . A coloured suit can add a punch in your office wardrobe . Pair it with neutral shirts and blouses to maintain work decorum . Colours like matte fuchsia and wine look elegant as well as chic .Wear deep and dark colours if you are on curvier side . Pair them with simple accessories ,structured handbags and shoes for a more formal look .Style Café's tip - Be very careful in picking the right fabric and textures for your shape . Matt textures with less Lycra content are more forgiving .
