Spring summer 2015 ~ Wardrobe building tips with new colours
Soon we will be bidding goodbye to winters and the winter wardrobe . New fresh colours will be invading the market and fashion magazines .
SS15 colours are quite modish and fresh like dew . All forecasted colours of SS15 have their own sweet charm and are capable of invoking different emotions in us. Few are energising and few create a sense of calmness .
My favourites are Marsala , Strawberry ice and Scuba blue as they will be fun to play with prints and accessories .
Neutrals like Titanium ,Glacier gray and toasted almond will be great as anchors .
Lu cite green, Custard and Tangerine will be great as accents and can add a fun element in any traditional or monotonous colour scheme .
Lavender herb and Strawberry ice will attract the romantic and girlish personalities .
Greens like woodbine and Treetop have a coolness factor which makes them more subtle and classy.
Orange family is getting its long due and it has re-occurred this time as Tangerine . Its quite softer and more wearable compared to last years celsosa Orange.
Blue is the new black and is emerging as all time favourite with designers and merchandisers . Cool , calm and muted blue like aquamarine and dusk blue will favour classic and elegant wardrobes . Scuba blue has its own vibrancy and slightly loud character.
Wardrobe with SS15 colours
Colour selection should ideally be based on three major factors
1. Our skin tone - What skin tone you are blessed with ? Warm or cool ?Its popularly said the 'If Colour walks before you than its not your colour'. A right colour worn near your face can make you look healthy and vibrant and even young . Classic blue will look great on a Cool skin tone person whereas Custard and woodbine will compliment a warm hue person.
2. Occasion - Neutrals paired with accent looks great and trendy for office wear. Titanium , Classic blue , Glacier gray and Sandstone are the serene neutrals of this palette .You should be very clear about the message you want to send out through your clothing . You can save the feminine and fashionable prints for evening and weekend wear.
3. Time of the day - Light and warm colours suit day wear and heavy and deep colours are more appropriate for evening wear.
Be colour confident and colour happy #stylecafe
